Payment Methods
History
When cranes were first introduced to New Zealand they used comparator coin mechanisms, i.e. $1 and/or $2 coin mechanisms. Over time these were replaced with All Coin mechanisms which also allowed the use of $0.10, $0.20, $0.50, $1 and $2 coins.
In 2022 Kiwikrane introduced Credit/Debit card readers to Kiwikrane using Nayax. This had been the result of several years, and thousands of dollars in research and development, including testing with other companies before settling with Nayax as our provider. Kiwikrane also had new PCB programmes produced to allow cranes to have 3 payment methods (the WHM cranes are normally limited to two payment methods).
Future
Kiwikrane is working on new “CoinOp Software” and will be integrating API calls from Nayax directly into this. The aim is to automate systems, reduce paperwork and give Franchisees accurate minute to minute information.
