The Importance Of Regular Visiting
Servicing Frequency and Stock Rotation
Crane machines function like small shop windows. If the display remains unchanged, customers quickly begin to overlook it as familiar or routine, reducing engagement and play.
There is often a direct link between machine performance and the frequency of servicing and stock rotation. Regular attention helps maintain customer interest and supports consistent revenue.
Minimum Servicing Standards
- Standard requirement: A minimum of weekly servicing for most machines
-
Slower-performing machines: May be serviced fortnightly
- A useful approach is a “fluff” visit—this includes a quick clean, repositioning (“fluffing”) the toys, and checking coin mechanisms
- If no stock is added, a CoinOp transaction is not required, saving time
- Very slow or remote sites: In exceptional cases, monthly servicing is acceptable (e.g. due to low performance, distance, or restricted access)
The Kiwikrane Support Office may, following review, require more frequent servicing at specific sites where necessary.
Compliance Requirement
Unless a specific exemption has been granted, the minimum servicing requirement is one visit per month, including a CoinOp transaction. This is essential.
Failure to meet this requirement may be considered a breach of the franchise agreement.
Site Performance Expectation
If a machine is not generating sufficient return to justify at least monthly servicing, it should be considered for relocation.
Machines should continue to be serviced monthly (including a CoinOp transaction) until a more suitable, higher-performing site is secured.
