Using Teaser Toys

Using Teaster Toys

A frequently asked question is how to clear remnant or slow-moving stock items. There are two effective methods:

1. Create or add to a mixed product range
Remnant items can be incorporated into a mixed selection, such as an existing mix like S1 Premium, to help them move more efficiently.

2. Use a “teaser toy” strategy
An effective alternative is to introduce a single “teaser toy” into a machine. This involves placing one additional product (that remains achievable under hard grab settings) on top of the existing stock, ideally positioned near the prize chute.

This approach can generate renewed customer interest and is a practical way to clear remnant stock. However, no more than one different item should be added, as excessive variation can create a “jumble sale” appearance, which may reduce perceived value and play confidence.

When applied correctly, regularly introducing a single teaser toy can significantly improve stock rotation and help clear slower-moving items.

Example Explanation

In the example shown, two product types (plush toys and balls) are present in the same machine. However, because only one secondary item is used, it is still considered a teaser toy.

In this case, the claw settings are configured for a ball, meaning the plush toy remains easily winable. This is intentional, as the purpose of a teaser toy is to create excitement and achievable wins that encourage repeat play.
