Facing failure
Sometimes businesses fail - including franchises. Things don't go according to plan. Circumstances change and you can no longer run the business - or you bought the business and found that you just cant make it work. This does happen and has happened with some franchisees. No matter what we do as franchisor we cant seem to lift the person out of their predicament - if we do it is only temporary. The business gets so low in turnover that it cant be sold and machines are sitting in garages - which creates a vicious downhill spiral where the franchisee doesnt want to carry on. In the event that this happens we would like to be able to help you exit. With this franchise no matter how badly your business is going you will still have the physical machines. The franchise agreement provides for us to terminate in some situations and buy back back machines - however with your cooperation the franchisor may make an offer to assist you exit the business by buying your machines and working with you in a positive way. It's not a high offer - you will lose money - but it is better than complete and total loss of money. You may end up with negative equity(owing money after closure) if you have loans - which can happen to failed business owners. If you are at this stage you would have already had some contact with us - please keep in communication with us to find a solution - because burying your head in the sand just makes things worse.
The bottom line is that success or failure rests with you.
