Don't create a jumble sale
Kiwikrane's should be setting the standard to follow, rather than being worse than our competitors.
One of the things a number of franchisees have tried in the past is mixing a lot of products together in the belief that this will give more appeal, or in some cases just because it was easier to just add a few toys rather than changing a theme. This is one of the practices that we don't follow and is expressly not allowed as a Kiwikrane franchisee. See the national notice about Kiwikrane national crane standards: Kiwikrane national crane standards
It may save some time in the short term but it reduces the number of people playing and a messy machine brings down the whole national image and standard of all Kiwikranes. A jumble sale machine has many disadvantages, including:
- No strong "clean theme"
- No suitable poster
- Claw behaves differently on different prizes so won't even move many prizes
- Lightest product easily won
- Heaviest product looks bad as the claw just glides off
- You've played all your cards in one machine
- It just plain looks messy
- People won't be repeat players as they will feel ripped off by the machine
Here is a real example of a jumble sale:
