Cleaning your cranes properly
The commission book needs the following filled out:
- Start and end reading coin
- Start and end reading note
- Start and end reading prize
- Prize quantities added on checkups and collection
- Total collected
- Total commission paid on site
- Signature
In the photo below you will see both the white and yellow copies of the commission book. The white goes to the site with the commission and the yellow is retained by you.
After you have filled out the two left-hand columns fold the white paper over and fill out the remaining column on the yellow paper for yourself.
Many of these additional items on the yellow are now done through the software, however the Payout check is still an important one to do.
From your beginning and end meter readings (also accounting for if it is a $2 per play) work out your total collected. You will also know how many toys have been won (or replaced) and the amount of the toy. From this you can work out your payout percentage.
For example:
Coin Meter Readings:
Beginning: 01234
End: 01300
Total: $64 ($1 per play)
Prize Meter Readings:
Beginning: 56
End: 60
Total Prizes Won: 4
Therefore: 4 x $6.30 (cost of toy) = $25.20 / $64 (money received) = 0.39
This means that last week the payout was 39% - over the benchmark figure of 30%. Check if the machine underpaid out the week before so it was making up for this, if not then the settings need to be slightly adjusted to bring it back to a 30% level.
