About Kiwikrane

The Kiwikrane franchise system is New Zealand’s largest operator of amusement crane machines, with established territories covering the entire country.

Founded in 2000 by Cliff Hopkins, Kiwikrane has been successfully franchising since 2001. Today, approximately 2000 machines operate as part of the Kiwikrane franchise network across New Zealand.

Franchise Directors Cliff Hopkins and Paul Hydes bring extensive combined experience in the industry. Kiwikrane is one of the few home-grown New Zealand franchises to have successfully taken its model overseas, establishing Koalakrane in Australia before selling the business to refocus on the New Zealand market. This history reflects the strength, credibility, and scalability of the Kiwikrane franchise model.

Kiwikrane operates a national support office and warehouse in Auckland, providing stock and spare parts to franchisees nationwide. Franchisees also benefit from access to a dedicated online shop, a private Facebook group, and a technical support hotline. In addition, Kiwikrane offers the opportunity to purchase licensed and officially branded products for use in crane machines, backed by the full support of a national franchise operator.
