Even though your machine may have passed its regular compliance test, it is possible the cord has become faulty and you should inspect it regularly. If the cords are on the ground there is a very good chance they will get damaged. The black plastic sheath must be intact and you should not be able to view the black, red, and green wires inside. You should carry spare cords in your basic parts kit.
