Machine Upgrading and Purchasing New Machines
Having a planned machine fleet upgrade strategy is an important part of running a successful franchise.
Regularly upgrading one or more machines each year helps keep your fleet in excellent condition. When you purchase new machines, you can rotate your fleet so that your best-performing sites receive the newest machines, while lower-performing or outdoor/street sites receive older units. This allows you to maximise the return on your highest-value locations.
A crane machine is effectively a retail storefront. If the “storefront” isn’t attractive, customers are less likely to engage and play. Keeping outdated or poor-condition machines on strong sites is often a false economy.
You may be reluctant to strip and retire older machines, but by this stage they will have more than paid for themselves. We recommend salvaging valuable components such as the gantry, claw, power supply, PCB board, and other reusable parts. The Kiwikrane insignia must be removed or permanently damaged before disposal.
Note: If an operable machine or usable cabinet is taken to a dump, it may be resold.
Important:
Kiwikrane machines may be sold to other Kiwikrane franchisees. Machines must not be sold to sites, friends, or on the open market (including platforms such as Trade Me).
When planning upgrades, please speak with the Support Office regarding pricing and availability. From time to time, new machine types may also be available for you to consider.
