Cleaning your cranes properly
It goes without saying that your machine should be impeccably clean. Please pay attention to ALL the surfaces of the machine inside and out, including the top of the machine and the frame. Here is a list of the surfaces you should clean regularly on the machine and a suggested product for cleaning. Not cleaning machines properly is just plain lazy and a sign of a bad operator. Don't just spray the glass - there is a lot more to cleaning than that.
You may find it easier to pick one machine a week to give a very thorough spring clean, rather than try to spring clean every machine every week. Spend half an hour on one machine. Once each month you should completely empty out your prizes and do a physical count. This allows you to check your prize meter against your actual stock level, and is also a great opportunity to clean out the prize area thoroughly. That way you will cycle through them all regularly. What's the rush? You didn't get into this business to rush. Get your machines looking great and your time will be rewarded with healthier cash boxes.
