Employing Relief Staff

Staff - Permanent, Relief or Volunteer

Most franchise areas are owner-operated. However, there may be occasions when a permanent or relief employee is required, or when family members assist on a casual basis (including unpaid or pocket-money arrangements).

In these situations, it is important to speak with the Support Office before any training takes place and to ensure the person signs a Staff Confidentiality Agreement.

When you explain how the cranes operate, how payouts are set, and other operational details, you are sharing industry knowledge that could potentially enable someone to set up in competition with you or another franchisee in the future.

For this reason, a simple Confidentiality Agreement must be completed and sent to thomas@kiwikrane.co.nz before access to training or systems is provided.

If you are away for less than a month it can be prudent to have the relief person service the machines but do the cash up yourself when you return.
