Changing Castor Wheels (BVN)

Changing Castor Wheels(BVN)

If a castor wheel on your machine breaks, we have replacements available. There are generally two types of castor wheels: one for older machines and one for newer models.

When ordering, please provide a description and/or photo of the castor wheel so we can supply the correct replacement.

Changing a castor wheel is straightforward and easy. There are a couple of safe ways to position the machine:

Positioning the machine

  1. Lay the machine on its back in a van or on a trailer.

  2. Lay the machine down on the ground. It’s helpful to rest it on a box or milk crate so it’s not fully on the ground — this makes it easier to lift back up again.

    • Lock one set of wheels to help control the movement when lowering and standing the machine back up.

    • This is not a one-person method. Use two people to avoid back strain or injury.

Changing the castor

  1. Undo the four screws that thread into the embedded receptacles in the wood.

  2. Replace the castor.

  3. Refit and tighten the four screws securely.
